Lady Bugs - January 1, 2012

It was a pretty low key day except for the blustery winds, frozen roads, and chilly air.  Both boys helped me shovel the driveway.  Owen stuck it out for almost the entire shoveling event until the wind blew snow off his shovel and into his face.  Ethan was only able to handle it a little bit before he wanted to go watch George and read books while snuggled under a warm blanket.

The highlight of the day was when both boys got spooked by a lady bug or Asian beetle that was sitting on Ethan's chair at dinner time.  Ethan whimpered to get off his chair and did not calm down until Charlie threw the bug in the garbage.  Owen assured everyone that the bug was okay and was now in enjoying life in his home, the garbage can.   Both boys were quite brave after the lady bug disappeared.
